GOM Style for Gulf of Mexico. Singular Module (Tree) Units joined by a System. This Figure shows a ROV inserting a Flow Controller into a Tree to monitor MEG injection proportional to Flow. GOM also now has multi tree style Sub Sea Modules

In 4c Process,  4c_1,  Varg and 4c_2, Clair we use those topsides to elaborate the problems to finalise modules and standardize modules. In "Other"we discus  items that are Sub Sea and the subject of Modularisation.

Surface Support for Sub Sea, a major factor of present sub sea systems is the support they need from Topsides, Chemical Supply is one of these, others include hydraulics and electrics
European Style for Nth Sea. Groups of Units as Module joined by a System
Jumpers. Something very much to do with a Moduler System of Components are the interconnections for power and signals used by a System these go through Jumpers as in these figures.
WIV 3 Sub Sea Support Vessel
These random subjects of elements of sub sea process devices and activity illustrate the range of activity of Sub Sea items of activity. Such items are invariably viewed as modules in a system, often with a plug and play capability
E Power. , The jumpers illustrated used some epower and hydraulics to actuate components. The current direction is to try to use epower from shore when economically pheasable. Epowe has various attractions. Shore generated power is less costly has lower CO2 release and its use sub sea can be very effective particularly when drivers are concerend. E'power is a subject of growth as with the Modules themselves. Until the last decade, hydraulics were dominent. With the current trend to high speed drivers for pumping and compression e'power has become of added interest
Sub Sea Support Vessel. From 4c_3 the Work Horse to service Sub Sea Eqipmment is the SSSV something like an AHT but more versatile. Using its Moon Pool it can launch wire line intervention, service sub sea facilities such as umps, Compressors, Trees etc. It can deploy divers, can be equipped for ROV operations ROV inserting a Flow Controller into a Tree to monitor MEG injection proportional to Flow
Sub Sea  Tree, Typical.. The tree shown is typical, and might be used for Well Intervention, hence access from the top at A. It can be connected to by the seperation junction at C. Posituve clousure is acheived by Ram or liner  actuated casing cutters. It connects to the well termination with a purpose coupling The Tree components can also be replicated and  be a surfacce Blow Out Device as a Dry arrangenent on a platform. The ability of performance is one of a much regulated subject to ensure well isolation to ensure safety of Marine Vessels, Sub Sea environment etc
Sub Sea ROV Ops., install Injector
ROV. Any item Sub Sea needs ROV support for various activites. It is useful at depth particularly for Hook up of Jumpers and Umbilicais, remove or install elements or instumentation on sub sea equipment. Often these can  be Diver undertaken but it is simpler particularly for depth to mobilise a ROV rather than a Diver.
Sub Sea Module 'A' Typical, Sub Sea Modules are now progressing to contain 2 phase pumping,  compression and seperation. Multi units are popular as particularly for rotating items they give flexibility and back up.
E'power types, E..power has many facets. The first is to consider supply. Asgaard a Norwegian Development has an 18MVA 120 Hz supply from a 45 km cable. When you view delivery you see other features AC 220, 400, 500V, DC 400V. You thus have the need of Module features to convert the supply and using.contollers, wave rectification provide the e'power in the best state for the users.
